THANK YOU!! I APPRECIATE YOU ALL SO MUCH!

THANK YOU everyone who voted in a municipal election in that past week! That one little action of voting is so important to maintaining a democratic society. It is a duty. In my childhood, the first time you got to vote in an election was as big a deal as getting your licence to drive. Whether or not you voted for me is honestly, secondary. Using your voice is the key!

That being said, I really appreciate everyone who thought I would be a good representative for them at the Council. (And I think I would’ve too!) and this experience will not discourage me from considering to run again in the future. Although, next time I hope that I don’t tear up my knee while walking around during the “kissing hands and shaking babies” part of running! That slowed me up but I appreciate the kindness of others while negotiating the world on first, crutches (Sorry about your toes!) and then those canes. I met many wonderful people and that includes the fellow-hat-flingers. It isn’t easy to put yourself out there but whoever said life was going to be easy? I’m glad I did.

So as I return this site back to its regularly programmed history channel, i wanted to say: I wish everyone well! Thank you for doing your duty.
